Rebecca Dumlao speaks and writes about using communication scholarship to achieve more rewarding relationships and satisfying lives. She has taught students and professionals face-to-face at universities in the United States, Europe and the Caribbean as well as online courses. Her publishing credits include journal articles, book chapters, newpaper and magazine features. At East Carolina University, Dr. Dumlao regularly fosters campus-community collaborations that promote the missions of local nonprofits while preparing students for future leadership. Her research focuses on families and intercultural communication as well as on effective processes for community engagement.
